The plenary session of the Arafo City Council will carry out today the preparation and approval of the municipal budget, as well as a credit modification to meet the collaboration agreement of the Arafo, Güímar and Candelaria municipalities for the works of the submarine outfall of the Valle de Güímar Industrial Estate, as well as the revision of the price index of the drinking water supply contract with the company Aqualia, a rise in the rate that Izquierda Unida has already denounced. Precisely tomorrow a cut of the water supply is planned from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., due to works on the network.
In the plenary session, Yanet del Carmen Alvarez Irausquin will take possession of the act of councilor, replacing the resigned Natalia García Fariña, in the PSOE. The new mayor, committed to social movements from the Cabildo and from Arafo, has been secretary of the neighborhood association Mi Barrio El Carmen Se Mueve since 2015, a position that she leaves due to her entry into the municipal government, where there is a CC-AiA pact (seven councillors) with the PSOE (3).
