The general secretary of the Canarian Coalition (CC) in Tenerife, Francisco Linares, has positioned himself in favor of the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, repeating as a candidate for mayor and facing a fourth government term in the municipality , in such a way that it is discarded in the race for the Cabildo.
“He is the best candidate without a doubt, he has amply demonstrated it,” he said in an interview with Europa Press in which he expressed his confidence that the local committee assembly would propose his name as a candidate for mayor.
He has said that the current “positioning and growth” that Santa Cruz de Tenerife has as the capital of the island “is largely due to the magnificent, impeccable work” that it has done in the last three terms.
In addition, he has stressed that he has a “solvent, coordinated and trained” work team at his side and understands that for the turbulent moments that lie ahead “he is the best person to continue being mayor.”
