CECOPAL operators have traveled to the different beaches of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, collecting a large number of these animals

The Municipal Operational Coordination Center (Cecopal) has warned of the presence of aguavivas (jellyfish) on several beaches in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, including Roque de Las Bodegas.

The warning, made from its official Twitter account, highlights the detection of these animals in Almáciga and Benijo, in addition to the aforementioned Roque de Las Bodegas, calls for maximum caution.

The operators displaced to those beaches of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have managed to collect a large number of them but, despite everything, the red flag waves on those three beaches.

Security operation on the beaches of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The Citizen Security and Emergencies service of the Capital City Council will carry out, as of this Thursday, an operation of beach safety of Santa Cruz during the days Easter holidays.

This operation will have the support of different bodies and security forces, although from the municipal sphere it is reinforced with the presence in the main coastal areas of the Local police, Civil Protection, technicians and volunteers; the Spanish Red Cross rescue service and the Natural Environment Unit. All of them will ensure safety on the beaches of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The Councilor for Citizen Security and Emergencies, Evelyn Alonso, has highlighted in a statement that there will also be the support of the National Police and the Civil Guard so that these dates “are characterized by tranquility and the enjoyment of all the people who will choose our coasts for this reunion with leisure and recreation, almost without restrictions, as we overcome this pandemic that has taken so much from us”.

Alonso explains that, for the beaches in the northern area of Anaga, the presence of both police and lifeguards and health personnel has been reinforced, although once again the challenge will be in the organization and proper functioning of traffic.
