Puerto de la Cruz reinforces alcohol and drug controls at Easter

The Municipality of Puerto de la Cruz announces a reinforcement of surveillance and controls of alcohol and drug consumption during the holiday period of Holy Week. The local government (PSOE-ACP) emphasizes that this initiative aims, above all, to “improve road safety in the municipality”, although it will also help reduce inconvenience to residents and visitors at night. These police controls will be distributed, at different times, in different areas of the tourist city.

The municipal government, which presides over Marco Gonzalez (PSOE)emphasizes that these actions are added to the special display that has been designed for Holy Week to guarantee security in the municipality, since a large influx of both tourists and visitors from other places on the island is expected to enjoy the tourist and commercial offer offered by the city.
