iTravex DMC, the market leading incoming agency in the former Soviet Union, has rebooted operations with Ukraine, through the first charter flights of the tour operator Join Up, which connect its capital, Kiev, with Tenerife. The new operation comes after the recent recognition of the Ukrainian Covid certificate by the European Commission, a fact that, de facto, opens the doors to Ukrainian tourists from the EU territory. They are the first flights from this country after the border closures caused by the pandemic. The routes, operated by the tour operator’s airline, Sky Up, have two weekly frequencies on the route to Tenerife North, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
«Resuming this operation is very important for us because it means a return to normality after the stoppage of the pandemic»Value from the agency. The first flights operated have arrived full and this trend is expected to continue. In addition, in the next few, in collaboration with tourist offices, representatives of travel agencies from Ukraine will come for a familiarization that will help increase interest in Tenerife. Likewise, with the validation by the EU of the Covid certificate issued in Ukraine “we hope that the Ukrainian market as an issuer will grow remarkably”, they emphasize from the iTravex agency.
