Mogán changes the direction of traffic on three streets in Puerto Rico and Amadores

This week the Mogán City Council is changing the direction of traffic on three streets in the upper area of Puerto Rico and Amadores, specifically Montaña Clara, Timanfaya and Tenerife. The objective is to achieve greater fluidity in vehicle traffic and expand the pool of car parks.

The Councilor for Traffic and Transport, Víctor Gutiérrez, who has been in the area together with the mayor of Heritage, Consuelo Díaz, has explained that what is intended is to create “a one-way traffic ring” to improve the transit of vehicles that access the multiple residential and tourist complexes that are located next to the tracks.

A) Yes, Montaña Clara and Timanfaya streets, before two-way, become only one way up, while Tenerife street will only go down. The mayor has assured that this measure also fulfills “a claim by residents and hoteliers, especially due to the density of traffic at Easter and the summer months.” On these dates the need for parking spaces is also more pronounced, an aspect that is solved by taking advantage of the space now left over from the road.

The placement of the new traffic signs as well as the painting of road and parking signs is expected to be completed this week.
