The Canary Islands Health Service will build the new building through an addendum to the agreement with the Cabildo de Tenerife. The work will allow not only to increase the area of the health complex by 20,000 square meters, but it will also allow another 8,000 for the reorganization of the spaces. The new building, which will be connected to the health complex in use, will house new healthcare services, such as the Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (ICU), the specific Pediatrics area, the Dialysis service, the Day Hospital and the expansion of the surgical area and other current benefits, such as Pharmacy. In addition, the building will have warehouses, workshops and administrative and management areas.
