The Canary Islands expect weak rains on Wednesday in the islands of greater relief

The skies will be cloudy this Wednesday north of the islands of greater relief, where it could rain weaklyas well as in Lanzarote and Fuerteventurawhile in the rest of the areas there will be cloudy intervals tending to a little cloudy during the afternoon.

According to Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet), the minimum temperatures will remain unchanged or with some slight decrease and the maximums with few changes or slightly rising and there will be a northeasterly wind in the westernmost islands and in the rest it will be from the north turning northeast during the afternoon with strong intervals on the southeast and west slopes of Gran Canaria.

As for the state of the sea, it announces a north or northeast wind of force 4 or 5, which will occasionally intensify to 6 offshore on the southeast and west coasts, swell to strong swell. On the southern coast of Gran Canaria there will be variable winds from force 1 to 3, rough seas and tidal waves. In all the islands it is expected north swell with waves of 2 to 3 meters and storm surge increasing to heavy seas offshore on the southeast and west coasts. On the west coast, between Punta Gorda and Fuencaliente, variable 1 to 3 and rippled or tidal.

LANZAROTE

Cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals starting at noon, opening wide clearings during the afternoon. Temperatures with little change. North wind, with strong intervals in interior areas during the central hours, and turning to the northeast at the end of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

FUERTEVENTURA

Cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals starting at noon, opening wide clearings during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures without changes on the coasts, and in slight decrease in inland areas. Maxims unchanged. North wind, with strong intervals during the central hours, and turning northeast in the last hours of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

GRAND CANARY

In the north, cloudy skies with a low probability of weak and occasional rains. Little cloudy or clear in the rest, without ruling out an interval of evolution during the afternoon. Temperatures without changes except for a slight decrease in the minimum on the southern slope. North wind turning northeast starting at noon, being strong on the southeast and west slopes, and where very strong gusts exceeding 60 km/h are not ruled out during the afternoon.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 16 21

TENERIFE

In the north, cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals starting at noon. In the rest, slightly cloudy except for intervals of evolution in the south and southwest of the island. Little chance of occasional light showers in the northeast and southwest during the afternoon. Temperatures unchanged except for a slight to moderate rise in the maximum in the southeast. Northeast wind, with strong intervals in the extreme northwest, east coast and high northeast areas in the second half of the day. Breezes on the southwest and north coasts.

LA GOMERA

Cloudy intervals in the north, slightly cloudy or clear in the rest. Unchanged temperatures. Northeast wind, with strong intervals in the second half of the day on the summit and east and west slopes.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

San Sebastian de la Gomera 17 20

THE PALM

In the north, cloudy skies with little probability of some weak precipitation in central hours, tending to slightly cloudy or clear during the afternoon. In the rest, slightly cloudy with some evolution interval on the west slope. Temperatures with little change. Northeast wind, with strong intervals on the northwest slope and extreme southeast. West coast breezes.

THE IRON

Prevalence of cloudy intervals tending to slightly cloudy or clear during the afternoon. Unchanged temperatures. Northeast wind, with strong intervals in high areas, as well as on the southeast slope and extreme northwest.
