A completely renovated facade –Which replaces the terracotta color with white–, a new steel canopy with a glass roof, a totally changed reception, a sculptural lamp with more than 800 glass sheets suspended on a 450-kilogram amethyst in the hall, a large aquarium with 10 jellyfish … The Botanical Hotel & The Oriental Spa Garden, the five-star hotel in Puerto de la Cruz, reopened its doors yesterday after 17 months closed with a completely renewed image, in search of more luminosity, sophistication and presence of works of art.
The Loro Parque Group took advantage of the stoppage, as a result of the pandemic of the covid-19, to rehabilitate this emblematic hotel of the tourist city that maintains, yes, its classic style of always with details of oriental inspiration. Everything has been improved: the lobby bar, the rooms, the restaurant, the pool area, the gardens, even its corporate image and the website.
The president of the Loro Parque Group, Wolfgag Kiessling, and his family were wrapped up in the reopening of the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden by the president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín; the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González; the Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, Yaiza Castilla; and the president of the Tenerife employer (CEOE), José Carlos Francisco, among other authorities. They all agreed to praise the owners for having taken advantage of the pandemic break to improve one of the most historic hotels in Tenerife, one of the first luxury hotels in Puerto de la Cruz when the municipality was opened to Central European mass tourism in the 70. “It is a bet that strengthens the quality of the establishments in the Canary Islands and their renewal,” said the Minister of Tourism, Yaiza Castilla. Have been 17 months of intense work to finish giving a boost to a hotel that the Kiesslings rescued when he was doomed to ruin. Today it shines more than ever.
