The Norberto García square in Puerto de Santiago will host the 1st edition of the “Sandanza” Dance Festival on April 30 with two shows that will have free admission. This event was scheduled for last December, however, the health situation at the time did not allow it to be held.
The first show that will begin at 6:00 p.m. will be performed by the Sociocultural Association “Entredanzados” under the title “Bailando a los Clásicos II”. Through musical and theatrical resources, an attempt is made to bring dance closer to all audiences. Thus, two lyrical singers will be in charge of uniting and guiding the different pieces.
Subsequently, under the title of “Mother” the second show comes from the María Mora Dance Company, in which the issue of contemporary motherhood and the conflicts it generates in today’s women are addressed. All this cognitive dissonance generates intense feelings in the protagonist, which are projected in the form of movement and dance through two dancers who represent these different ways of understanding motherhood.
