Lanzarote conquered three vital points to get away from the difficult area of the table by knocking down a Tenerife B that suffers a severe setback in the fight for direct promotion to the Second RFEF. In the extension of the first half, the squad led by Mateo García took command of the match through Keita. After the break, Thierno restored the equalizer on the scoreboard, but in extra time the Brazilian Matheus was in charge of giving the three points to the rojillos.
The local team starred in the first warnings, with a free kick launched by Adrián Machín from the right flank that was met with a superb stop by Víctor. Then, a direct free kick from Raúl was also disrupted by a sure goalkeeper from Tenerife.
The blue and white subsidiary’s reply came after a corner in which the ball ultimately fell to Martínez, who launched a shot that was rejected by a local footballer.
Tenerife B, little by little, took control of the game. In the 37th minute, Lie, after an individual action, gave way inside the area, but his teammate Matías was unable to finish off a clear opportunity.
Lanzarote reacted with a volley from Kevin Lemes that goalkeeper Víctor cleared for a corner. In the extension of this first half, the local side got the 1-0, with a header from Keita in the heart of the area after a corner taken by Miguel Gopar.
After the break, Tenerife B imposed their dominance against a red team that suffered from fatigue. The subsidiary had its prize in the 71st minute, when Thierno achieved the tie.
Ayoze Pérez’s entry gave fresh air to the locals, who scored the winning goal in extra time. Matheus took advantage of a corner taken by the Lanzarote footballer himself to get ahead of the Tenerife defense and head for 2-1.
