The Aqualia foreman in the tourist city wins second prize at the ‘i4U’ awards

Aqualia has just delivered the Aqualia i4U Innovation Awards, an initiative aimed at developing internal talent and promoting an innovative culture among its employees, whom the company considers to be a pool of potential innovators around the world. Andrés Sanabria, foreman of Aqualia in Puerto de la Cruz, won the second prize for the Employees. About 500 workers have participated in an open vote. The selected project proposes the development of a mobile application to unify all existing remote control systems in a more efficient and practical way, in a friendly environment for operators. In this way, a considerable reduction in working times is achieved. the foreman of Aqualia has received his prize, a travel voucher valued at 1,500 euros, from Isidoro Marbán, director of Economy and Finance at Aqualia.

Félix Parra, CEO of Aqualia, highlighted that “innovation is part of Aqualia’s culture”. “The proof is that We have created these awards, open to all company activity, and we have received proposals in all areas”, he added, to announce a forthcoming call for the second edition. The development and application of innovative procedures and practices reinforce the company’s competitiveness in its action within the integral water cycle, and convey Aqualia’s commitment to promoting social and labor well-being, and research and innovation for sustainable solutions. Through the implementation of initiatives such as the i4U awards, Aqualia contributes to the generation of structural changes in its production and culture model, directly involving its workers and managers.
