The works to place 20 security cameras in the area of Las Verónicas, of Playa de Las Américas, will be held during the summer. The announcement was made public yesterday by the municipal government of Arona, informing that the specifications that will govern the call for the competition for these works have been drawn up. The representative body of the central government in the Islands also gave the go-ahead, last November, to the placement of another 16 video surveillance cameras in El Fraile.
