A medicalized helicopter suffers damage when landing in Tenerife South

One of the two medicalized helicopters that the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) suffered an incident early this afternoon, Monday, when he was returning to his base at the Tenerife Sur airport. None of the crew members or medical personnel traveling were injured and everything was a shock.

The sources consulted pointed out that the aircraft touched against some structure, do not specify whether against the ground or against a building, at the time of landing to return to the hangar. The pilot and copilot themselves verified the damage caused, which completely damaged the tail rotor. Among the causes that could cause the incident is the intense wind that blew yesterday in the southern part of the Island, with gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, according to the weather station that the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet ) is registered with the Reina Sofía.
