New traffic cuts on the TF-1 next week
The traffic closures on the TF-1 will take place at dawn

The Council of Tenerife has reported this Saturday that during the next week the extension of the road surface of the highway will continue TF-1 between kilometers 46.2 and 52.5, that is, in the area between Tajao, in Arico, and the Granadilla Industrial Estate, which will cause new traffic cuts on the TF-1.

The island councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, indicates in a statement that “after ten months of work, drivers can appreciate the improvement of the road”, and adds that it is “a much-needed action that directly affects road safety of the TF-1”.

The traffic closures on the TF-1 will be carried out due to improvement works carried out by Sacyr, which will be concentrated between junctions 46 (Tajao/Environmental Complex) and 52 (Granadilla Industrial Estate, Access B), therefore that exits 49 (Chimiche/El Río/Las Maretas) and 51 (Granadilla Industrial Estate, Access A) will also be affected.

This time the works on the road will be carried out only in the direction of Adeje and at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

During the night, alternatives to circulation will be enabled so that these traffic cuts on the TF-1 do not affect circulation.

On the night of Sunday, March 27, links 46 and 49 will remain closed, so vehicles traveling south and seeking access to the Tajao, Chimiche, El Río, Las Maretas or the Environmental Complex will have Continue to the Polígono Industrial de Granadilla junction, Acceso A (51), to make a U-turn and return, in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, to the destination area.

Drivers intending to join the motorway from these areas in the direction of Adeje must drive towards the capital of Tenerife until the Villa de Arico/Abades junction (42), where they can make a U-turn and drive north.

During the work on Monday and Tuesday, exits 51 and 52 will join junction 49, which will also be intervened.

For this reason, vehicles heading south seeking access to one of the closed interchanges may continue to exit 55, San Isidro/El Médano, to change the direction of driving and rejoin the road towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife and reach the desired areas.

Also, to drive in the direction of Adeje from these exits, you can join the road to the Tajao junction in the direction of Santa Cruz and make the change of direction there.

And between Wednesday and Thursday only the entrance links to the Granadilla Industrial Estate (51 and 52) will be affected. In this case, to drive south from this area, you will have to exit in the direction of Santa Cruz and you can change direction at interchange 49.

These traffic cuts on the TF-1 form part of the resurfacing plan for the TF-1 that has been carried out since last April and that contemplates an execution period of approximately fourteen months.

In total, the works, carried out by Sacyr, will include about 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico, adds the island corporation.
