Changes from the first hour of Sunday in the traffic of Santa Cruz
These changes in traffic in Santa Cruz will also affect car parks and the Rastro

The development of a new edition of the Ocean Lava Tenerife triathlon, next Sunday, March 27, will mean changes in the traffic of Santa Cruz to guarantee the safety of the participants and citizens in general.

The most important modification to take into account for this sporting event will be the closure of the two traffic lanes between Constitución Avenue, at the height of the Auditorio de Tenerife, and the surroundings of the Dársena Pesquera, already reaching the town of San Andrés. The two lanes affected by this situation will be the closest to the coastline of these roads.

This change in traffic Santa Cruz It will be effective from 08:00 on Sunday, although all the necessary signaling tasks for this sporting event will be carried out beforehand. The usual traffic towards San Andrés will be diverted through the interior route of the Port. In addition, in the section between the intersection of Ramblas de Santa Cruz with Francisco La Roche and San Andrés avenues, the two lanes towards the capital will be enabled, distributing one for each direction. These modifications will remain until approximately 5:00 p.m.

Variants in Santa Cruz traffic

Access to the neighborhoods of Anaga from the circulation that leaves the city, can be done to that area using different alternatives, mainly by Ramblas de Santa Cruz. The bus stops that will remain in operation that day will be the interior ones of the La Alegría, Valleseco and María Jiménez neighborhoods.

This change in the traffic of Santa Cruz will also have to do with the parking prohibitions that will begin to be in force from 00:00 on Sunday until the end of the triathlon, affecting the entire Francisco La Roche avenue in the direction of San Andrés, as well as in the parking areas next to the Casa del Mar, and the two parking esplanades that Valleseco has. Also that Sunday the activity of the popular Rastro de Santa Cruz is suspended for the correct development of this triathlon.

From the Local Police, drivers are reminded that, on these sections of road, provisionally enabled for two-way traffic, they must travel at a maximum speed of 30 kilometers per hour and using the dipped lighting. In addition, it is recalled that they respect the instructions of the agents who will be working that day to provide security for this sporting event.

Due to the completion of this test, the traditional Rastro will not be open to the public either.
