SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 21. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested a mother and her son in the framework of an operation against the retail sale of drugs. With these arrests, which occurred in Tegueste, a retail drug sales point managed in a family environment is considered dismantled.
The investigators, through different investigations, learned that a retail drug sales point could be operating in Tegueste. The increase in police interventions of small quantities of drugs in the area substantiated his suspicions.
The different procedures carried out corroborated the initial impressions, apparently several members of the same family were dedicating themselves to these activities.
After informing the judicial authority of the facts and requesting the corresponding authorization, the agents entered and searched a house in that area. They arrested a 61-year-old woman and her 23-year-old son as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health.
About half a kilo of marijuana, more than 700 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 5 grams of cocaine, 16 grams of hashish pollen and more than 2,500 euros in cash were involved in the search. In addition, they also found and intervened documentation with notes on the sale of narcotic substances, precision scales and other tools for the sale of drugs, simulated weapons, a pistol and two rifles, and a knife.
The young detainee, the main investigated, was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority. The actions were carried out by national police from the UDYCO and the UPR from the Provincial Police Station of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, who in the records had the collaboration of the Dog Guides Unit of the Local Police of the capital of Tenerife.
