
The Governing Council of the Municipal Institute of Social Care (IMAS) of the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, held this Tuesday, has approved the file for the contracting of the service of revitalization and support for the adapted bathroom of people with disabilities and reduced mobility in the Las Teresitas beach. The proposal includes the provision of the same, during the next three years, for a value of 647,670.85 euros.
The mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez, indicates that this new framework contract “substantially improves the service that has been provided, since now it will be carried out uninterruptedly during every month of the year and also includes support from their homes and leisure activities for users”.
The Councilor for Social Action, Rosario González, details that “this resource will be on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in the months between January and May, as well as November and December” and adds that “in the months in which we have better temperatures, from June to October, this service will be provided even during the seven days of the week, in the same way that the days of Easter are included, which go from Thursday to Sunday, with hours from 09:00 to 18:00. with the start of the collection service at homes at 09:30 a.m. and return from Las Teresitas to the house or established stop at 5:30 p.m.
The new contract states that, in addition to the beneficiary, the transport service must also include a companion, either a family member or the caregiver designated for this purpose. There will be a minimum of six trips per day (three to go and three to return).
In the same way, the service concession company must set up a shade point on the beach made up of a rigid tent, with a minimum size of 5×5 meters and a private space that will function as a changing room.
The floatation and bathroom support material that the service concessionaire company must provide will be made up of two pairs of amphibious crutches, two pairs of amphibious canes, three amphibious chairs, ten floats, 15 churros, ten sleeves, two wheelchairs, five life jackets, a transfer aid system, two visual and sound devices, three buoys and nets, as well as lane ropes for space delimitation.
You must also provide a fresh water dispenser or, failing that, refrigerators with bottles; gloves, first aid kits, sunscreen and entertainment material for activities such as balls, ropes, nets, rackets, board games, coloring and cutting material, books, pens, notebooks, music, balloons, caps, t-shirts, gymnastic bars and petanque balls.
Finally, the contract also includes the presence on the beach of a portable stretcher, six hammocks, ten chairs, three tables, two refrigerators, six parasols, lockers or a safe place to store backpacks and bags, a folding counter, a promoflag type candle size L and a tilting display.
Free funeral services
Among the items on the agenda addressed at the meeting of the Governing Council of the IMAS held today, the contracting of a free funeral service, of a social nature, for people without financial resources who die in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife was also approved. .
