SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 15. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife, at the request of the Sports area, has approved a subsidy of 140,000 euros for the organization of automobile events during this year and which take place in different municipalities of the Island.
The Minister of Sports, Concepción Rivero, reported that the current call is intended to defray part of the expenses generated by the organization of the different rally, sprint, mountain, dirt, slalom and karting automobile events that make up the Official Provincial Calendar of the Tenerife Automobile Federation.
The beneficiaries of this aid are the teams and the Tenerife Automobile Federation. Eligible expenses include insurance, safety and emergency plans; trophies, public address services, health services, federative rights for the organization of the tests; judges, marshals, timekeepers and officials, vehicle and tow truck rental, material transport, installation installation and advertising. Not being able to include those related to the acquisition of inventoriable material, infrastructure, investment and equipment.
The information and basis of the subsidies can be consulted at the electronic headquarters of the Cabildo, where they can formalize the procedures. Similarly, interested parties may submit applications at any Registry Office and Citizen Service of the Cabildo de Tenerife.
Tenerife has a long automobile tradition, with 702 Officials, 1881 Sportsmen and 66 clubs. Through this support, the Cabildo contributes to the viable economic management of the racing teams and the recovery of the sports sector as a result of the economic slowdown and the impact of the coronavirus.
