The City Council organizes the “I Ruta del Barraquito” with the participation of 12 catering establishments in the municipality

The City Council of Santiago del Teide organizes the “I Ruta del Barraquito 2022”, a commercial initiative that is integrated into the framework of the “Nudo” Poetry Festival, which is about to land in the municipality and which will take place from 21 from March to April 3, with a total of 12 participating restaurants located in the towns of Santiago del Teide Casco, Arguayo and Tamaimo.

Thus, through this gastronomic event, the participating establishments will offer, during their days of development, all kinds of creative proposals of what is constituted as one of the most popular coffee drinks on our islands and that will be the ideal accompaniment to enjoy of the poetic encounter that supposes the mentioned festival of poetry; which, after 5 years of development in Barcelona, ​​will be held for the first time outside of Catalonia and with the municipality of Santiago del Teide as the chosen destination.

In this sense, the participating establishments are: El Patio Bar Restaurant, Tropic II Cafeteria Bar, Santiago del Teide Restaurant, Crepería Cositas, Parada Bar, Soto Bar Cafeteria, El Café Bar, Plaza Cafeteria Bar, TropicArguayo Cafeteria, Tindaya Cafeteria, Tamay Restaurant and Arepera Sunflower.

Similarly, it is worth mentioning that, integrated into the aforementioned initiative, the town hall has promoted a “Barista Workshop”, with which the participants will be able to improve their technique in terms of the preparation of the traditional Canarian Barraquito as well as other varieties. of coffee drinks, noting that it will take place on March 18 – at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.- at the Chinyero Visitor Center and will be taught by Chef Pablo Pastor -President of Acyre Canarias- and Secundino Pérez, who will contribute their extensive experience in the sector.
