Incidents in the Canary Islands

The Local Police of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is intervening on the Cardón highway at the height of the access to the Díaz Casanova Industrial Estate due to the fall of a wall on a bus, which has not caused serious injuries.
In addition, at the La Ballena roundabout, retentions are taking place while a crane tries to remove a vehicle that left the road and invaded the interior garden area, and one of the lanes has been closed to traffic.
Likewise, the Operational Coordination Center of the Local Administration (Cecopal) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has registered some 20 incidents due to the displacement of containers, falling branches, posters, metal plates and fencing.
In the work, members of the 112 Canarias, firefighters, Civil Protection and Local Police are coordinated, as well as municipal services personnel, who also work in the traffic lane of Las Teresitas beach, where the wind has displaced containers and hammocks.
This lane has been closed to traffic after being partially flooded, as reported by the Local Police of the capital of Tenerife, which also regulates traffic at the intersection of the Dominican Republic due to a traffic light failure at said intersection.
In addition, the Cabildo de Tenerife has announced that access to the Teide National Park remain closed due to the passage of the Celia storm through the Archipelago, which this Tuesday continues to wreak havoc on the islands.
Specifically, the roads that are currently closed due to the presence of sleet and ice on the road are the TF-38 highway, from Boca Tauce; TF-24, by La Esperanza; TF-21, through the Tenerife municipality of Granadilla and passing through Vilaflor; and, according to the Security Area of La Orotava, also by the TF-21.
The authorities have asked the population of Tenerife to take extreme precautions and avoid going to the Teide National Park to observe the snowfall that, since yesterday, has been falling on the peaks of the island.
