The General Supplementary Management Plan (PGOS) of San Miguel de Abona is in the period of public information. The document on display includes the corrections derived from the allegations presented to the initially approved planning. These are modifications “that denote substantial changes”, through which “the majority of the allegations have been taken into account”. This fact allows us to verify “that the situation of the municipality is very different from that initially raised by the Government of the Canary Islands, through the public company Territorial and Environmental Management and Planning SA (Gesplan).
The mayor of San Miguel, Arturo González, who has held continuous follow-up meetings on this document that will set the guidelines for the future development of San Miguel de Abona, makes it clear that “the municipality will be able to count on the first municipal planning of Tenerife adapted to the new Land Law, which will allow a more consensual plan. And he insists that “it is not the most desired”, but he understands that it is in line with the reality of the municipality.
The documentation that makes up the General Supplementary Development Plan, as well as the file, is available to the interested public at the offices of the Municipal Technical Office of the City Council of San Miguel de Abona, as well as in the section corresponding to Urban Planning on the page Town Hall official.
As is de rigueur, it is also available for consultation and presentation of the corresponding allegations on the website of the Government of the Canary Islands or in the Strategy and Territorial Information Service of the General Directorate for Territorial Planning and Waters, on Avenida de Anaga , 35, Multiple Services Building I, 6th floor. In these dependencies it can be consulted between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to the San Miguel municipal government.
