The representation of La Pasión returns with a new format, which will combine film production and direct theater under the direction of Abraham Gómez Rosales. This decision was made by the Adeje City Council after two years of hiatus and its objective is to maintain the covid measures. In addition, for the first time in the history of this event, the management held a casting for the main characters. We must remember that this is a play made up of amateur actors and actresses, mostly from Adeje and the South.

During this month and the first weeks of April, Abraham Gómez and Mamen Márquez, as directing consultant, will work with the directors of photography and sound, Gabriel García Fernández-Valdés and René Martín, to film most of the scenes of La Pasión from Adeje. The film will be broadcast on Friday, April 15, and will link with the direct of the last scenes of La Pasión that, this time, will be performed live in the Plaza de España in Adeje. The scenes that can be enjoyed live that day are those of the meeting of Jesus with his mother and the crucifixion.

The broadcast can be followed on television and social networks and will be viewed on large-format screens located in Plaza España, so that those who attend to witness it live can see the complete work.

The Adeje City Council chose the theater director Abraham Gómez given his solid training and extensive experience in the languages necessary to develop this project, the film and the theater. In addition, Gómez Rosales has teaching experience, essential when working with an amateur cast, as in this case. On the other hand, the director of La Pasión 2022 has experience in musical theater shows and has numerous prizes and awards to his credit, as an actor and as director and author of various plays.

This edition is a major initiative, not in vain this will be the 25th representation of La Pasión, in Adeje.
