The versatile artist, after completing her studies in Modern Music and Jazz at the School of Creative Music and Contemporary Dance at the RCPD in Madrid, continued her training in Cuba and New York. He traveled to Havana in 2005 to specialize in Latin Piano and Jazz at the Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba and later to New York, at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and at The Collective School of Music, studying with professors such as Bruce Barth, Barry Harris, Bob Quaranta, and sharing the stage with numerous artists from the New York scene.
Her musical career has led her to play along with established musicians such as Antonio Serrano or Celia Mur with the Big Band of Granada, to accompany numerous national artists such as Sole Giménez and to share projects with international artists such as the one led by the Cuban singer Eme Alfonso and the Project Women of the World. And it is that, in each direct performance of Lucía Rey Trío, you can perceive the creative freedom that she grants herself and her musicians, each of her concerts being different with a feeling always new and fresh managing to create a dialogue between the music and the public.
