The president of the Xunta de Galicia and sole candidate for the presidency of the Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has seen “frivolous” the announcement of a documentary series on the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in which the life in La Moncloa, when there is a war “at the gates of Europe”.
During an act in Tenerife with militants and supporters together with the president of the PP of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, and the island president, Emilio Navarro, to present his project for the party, the Galician has shown his deep belief in Europe and in the European Union .
“How can I not believe if Europe was satisfied by making a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela?” I am a militant of freedom, peace and prosperity, which are the hallmarks of the EU,” he said.
Feijóo has made special emphasis that he supports the European Union when things go wrong and when they go well. “We must protect it,” he asserted, “when it has explicit enemies or when it has hidden enemies, because Europe always has enemies, and it has them because they don’t want us to be the best place in the world to live.”
Thus, he has found it necessary to carry out a mature policy, which, he pointed out, is what he has been practicing for years in the course of his political career.
“And I have many doubts,” he continued, “that Spaniards are interested in seeing a Reality Show starring the Prime Minister, who seems to be threatening us with a television series in which he will be the protagonist.”
In this sense, the Galician understood that what he does in one of the Councils of Ministers “is for many chapters” but clarified that at the moment, “with a war at the gates of Europe” and with a “deep economic crisis”, advertising a reality show “sends a perfect message of immature and frivolous politics.”
For this reason, Feijóo has highlighted that “it is worth it” to try to give the best of the PP to offer a Government that lives up to what the Spanish deserve.
“A government that is focused on economic recovery, job creation and opportunities. Can a government do anything more important than that?” the “internal struggles” of the ministers and the parties that comprise it.
