The Canary Islands activate the yellow warning for this Saturday due to waves of four meters

Canary Islandsexcept the island of La Gomera, will be on yellow notice (pre-alert) due to coastal phenomena significant from midnight this Friday to Saturday waves that could reach four meters in height by sea combined from the southwest and, locally, the five meters, according to the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet).

The pre-alert will come into effect Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and will last until 8:00 p.m. of the same day.

The affected areas are the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the north of Gran Canaria, the north and the metropolitan area of Tenerife, The iron and the east and west coasts of The Palm.

On the other hand, in the weather forecast includes cloudy intervals in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, as well as in the north of the islands of greater relief and slightly cloudy with intervals of evolution during the central hours in the rest of the areas.

None is ruled out weak, occasional and scattered precipitation in the northern midlands of the islands of greater relief during the second half of the day.

The minimum temperatures will be slightly rising, and may be more pronounced in high areas, and the maximum temperatures will experience few changes.

The wind will blow from the north to the northeast light to moderate.

Lanzarote

Cloudy intervals tending to cloudy during the central hours, and opening wide clears in the afternoon. Minimum rising temperatures, maximum with few changes or slight rise. Wind of weak to moderate north component, intensifying from midday with some strong interval in interior areas.

Fuerteventura

Cloudy intervals tending to cloudy during the central hours of the day, and opening wide clears in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures of slight to moderate rise, maximum with few changes. Wind of weak to moderate north component, intensifying from noon and with some strong interval on the west slope during the central hours of the day.

Gran Canaria

Cloudy intervals in the north, with little probability of some weak and occasional precipitation. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear without ruling out an interval of evolution during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures in slight rise, more pronounced on the northeast slope. Maxims unchanged. Loose to moderate northeast wind, more intense and with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes. Breezes on the southwest coast.

Tenerife

Cloudy intervals in the north. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear with probable intervals of evolution from midday that may leave some weak and occasional precipitation. Minimum temperatures in slight rise, more pronounced in the northern midlands. Maxims unchanged. Predominance of the light wind of the north component, more intense in the extreme northeast and northwest, as well as in the southeast coast and high areas, where strong intervals are not ruled out. Breezes on the north and southwest coasts.

The Palm

In the north and east, cloudy intervals where weak and occasional precipitation is not ruled out during the second half of the day. In the west, slightly cloudy with probable evolution intervals in interior areas during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures on the rise, being notable in the middle and high areas. Maxims unchanged. Loose to moderate northeast wind, more intense in extreme southeast and northwest. Breezes on the west and northeast coasts.

Holy Cross of La Palma 13 23

La Gomera

Cloudy intervals in the north. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear with probable intervals of evolution during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures in slight rise, maximum without changes. Loose to moderate northeast wind, more intense and with some strong interval on east and northwest slopes. Breezes on the southwest coast.

San Sebastian de La Gomera 16 23

The iron

Cloudy intervals in the north with little probability of some weak and occasional precipitation at the end of the day. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear with probable intervals of evolution during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures in slight to moderate ascent, maximum with few changes. Loose to moderate north component wind, more intense on the southeast slope and extreme northwest. Breezes on the southwest coast and in El Golfo.
