SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 9. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, has chaired a meeting of the Interministerial Commission for the reconstruction of La Palma, in which progress has been confirmed in many of the measures for the recovery of the island and the need to continue executing others that were adopted in previous meetings.
The meeting was attended by the First Vice President of the Government, Nadia Calviño; the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska; the Minister of Territorial Policy, Isabel Rodríguez; the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, and representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Labor, Transport, Industry, Agriculture and Ecological Transition.
The Government continues to work on its commitment to the reconstruction and economic boost of the island and, in this sense, the different ministries have presented the set of measures that they are carrying out within their powers for the reconstruction of La Palma after the eruption of the volcano.
Likewise, next Saturday the Mixed Commission will meet again, chaired by the President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños. The meeting will be in person on the island of La Palma and prior to the tribute that the Government will offer to the palmeros for their attitude, solidarity and temperance during the time the eruption emergency lasted.
