SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 9. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Parliament of the Canary Islands hosts this Thursday a new edition of the Parliamentary Forum which, under the title ‘Women and glass ceilings’, presented by the president of the Chamber, Gustavo Matos, and hosted by the journalist and presenter of the program ‘Parliament’ of RTVC, Marta Modino.
This meeting will offer a conversation between the prosecutor of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prosecutor’s Office, Jezabel Criado Gutiérrez, the philologist and academic of the RAE, Dolores Corbella Díaz, the Civil Protection technician of the Government of the Canary Islands and director of the Advanced Command Post during the the eruption of Cumbre Vieja, Montserrat Román Casamartina, and the managing director of the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria University Hospital, Natacha Sujanani Afonso.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on www.parcan.eswith the possibility of asking questions to the participants in the last section through the email foroparlamento@parcan.es
Gustavo Matos pointed out that one of the objectives of this tenth legislature is to make Parliament an institution that is closer and more open to citizens. “The Parliamentary Forum initiative aims to serve as a space for dialogue, meeting and reflection at a time when 40 years of parliamentarism have been celebrated in the Canary Islands,” he said.
‘Women and glass ceilings’ is part of the program of commemorative events for this 40th anniversary, “a journey of four decades where the role of women has been decisive,” Matos pointed out.
