The La Orotava Youth Council call the contest Create you to choose the poster for the XXI edition of Young Art on the Street, which is expected to be held for a week between the end of September and the beginning of October. Young people between the ages of 14 and 35, both inclusive, residents of the Canary Islands, may participate. The deadline for submitting the works will end on September 3 and the theme and composition must refer to the contest itself, Young Art on the Street 2021. Each participant can present two original works, unpublished and not awarded in any other contest, made with any design technique, requiring the presentation of the file in support digital, jpg format and with sufficient resolution for later printing.
The work must contain the identifying logos of the City of La Orotava or any other sponsor of the event, which will be provided by the local Corporation, as well as the place, date and time of the activity. The staff of the Casa de la Juventud, located on León Street, will provide the necessary information to those interested who do not know the theme of the contest.
The jury will be made up of those designated by the Youth Council, young people belonging to youth associations and participants in previous editions. The decision will be final and irrevocable and reserves the right to leave the contest void. The winning work will receive 200 euros.
If there are technical difficulties in the reproduction of the awarded work, the jury will be able to make the strictly necessary modifications, always respecting the author’s work as much as possible, who will be consulted in advance.
It is a multidisciplinary exhibition that brings together various arts from the hand of young people, students from municipal schools and youth associations. This year it is planned to develop in the squares of the urban center, under various measures and protocols.
