The Cabildo de Tenerife has hoisted the Ukrainian flag on the Insular Palace on Tuesday, as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people immersed in a warlike conflict.

The proposal, at the request of the president of the Island Corporation, Pedro Martín, has had the support of the Board of Spokespersons of the Institution, the Corporation reported in a statement.
The Cabildo de Tenerife has created a monitoring commission to assess the impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine on the island’s primary sector.
The grain of sand of Canarian doctors
The Foundation of the College of Physicians of Las Palmas have also wanted to contribute their grain of sand. The organization promotes and channels among the doctors of the province the collection of funds for the purchase of medical material and supplies for the health centers most affected in Ukraine by the Russian invasion.
These supplies are currently being delivered to hospitals in Lvov, from where they are distributed to other parts of the country. In addition, the funds raised will allow the purchase and shipment from Poland of bandage material (bandages, sterile kits, cotton, band-aids, elastic bandages); antiseptics-chlorhexidine, alcohol, iodine; analgesics, anti-inflammatories and solutions.
As well as syringes, antibiotics, products for infusion therapy and blood substitutes, drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, antihypertensives, antiviral drugs, drugs and antispasmodic drugs.
