The yellow warning for bad weather at sea continues this Sunday

The strong wind will tend to subside this Sunday morning, according to the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet), but The yellow notice will remain due to adverse coastal phenomenon in the east, south and west of Gran Canariaeast, south and west of Tenerife and the island of La Gomera. What’s more, the yellow warning for wind will remain in the metropolitan area of ​​Tenerife.

In the early hours of Saturday, gusts of 99 kilometers per hour were reached in Alto Igualero, in La Gomera, and in Arure. In Las Tirajanas and Cuevas del Pinar, in the Gran Canaria municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, gusts of 89 and 84 kilometers per hour were measured.

The skies will be slightly cloudy this Sunday, except to the north of the islands with greater relief, where the probability of weak, occasional and scattered rains will be low, especially in the second half of the day; the maximum temperatures will experience a slight rise and the wind will be from the north, with strong intervals at the beginning.

According to the forecast of the Aemet, locally very strong streaks are not ruled out in high areas and northwest and southeast slopes of the islands of greater relief, mainly during the first part of the day.

As for the state of the sea, it announces a northeasterly wind of force 5 or 6, locally 7, strong gusts, strong and occasionally thick swell, while on the southwest and south coasts it will be variable from force 2 to 2 and swell. There will be a swell from the north and northwest with waves of 2 to 3 meters and occasional rain.

LANZAROTE

Cloudy intervals, without ruling out some weak and occasional precipitation in the last hours. Temperatures with few changes or slightly rising. Moderate north component wind, with strong intervals at the beginning, when an occasional very strong gust is not ruled out in the interior of the southern half.

FUERTEVENTURA

Cloudy intervals with clear openings in the second half of the day. Minimum temperatures with few changes and maximum without changes or slightly rising. Moderate north component wind, with strong intervals at the beginning, tending to decrease at the end of the day.
