Los Realejos distributes 30,000 euros in social aid for people with disabilities

The first deputy mayor of The Realejos, Adolf Gonzalezrecalls that 71 people were beneficiaries of this type of municipal aid in last year’s call, “so we have returned to provide them with an item of 30,000 euros so that they can contribute in care for people with disabilities and derived from it suffers some consequences in their personal autonomy, physical, mental, sensory, social or economic conditions”.

The Councilor for Social Welfare, Olga Jorge (PP)adds that “to access this call for aid, a series of requirements established in the bases must be met, such as being registered and residing effectively in the municipality, not having sufficient financial resources to meet the expenses of the situation for which the benefit is requested, that the per capita income of the family unit is not higher than the current minimum interprofessional salary and have the legal condition of disability recognized as such with qualification of its degree, among others.

These grants are used to finance rehabilitation sessions and functional medical or psychotherapeutic treatmentspecialized assistance, acquisition of prostheses, temporary accommodation for family respite, institutionalized assistance in residences, supervised flats and occupational care centers, acquisition and adaptation of motor vehicles or wheelchairsor transportation and dining expenses, as long as they are not attended by other entities.
