The City Hall of Santa Cruz de Tenerife claims with a video the important role of Civil Protection volunteers, on the occasion of the international day of this group. The Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Evelyn Alonsois committed to continuing to improve the operation and benefits of this “essential” group.
This video attempts to summarize and value many of the functions, features and importance of this service for the city. In addition, it reviews the technical part of this section, the day-to-day of the Transmission Center of the Operational Coordination Center of the Local Administration (Cecopal) or “the extraordinary work of each and every one of the units of the volunteer group attached to Civil Protection.”
The mayor of the capital, Jose Manuel Bermudez (CC)assures that this video has «a double objective: to recognize the value and power of our Civil Protection on this special date, and to pay tribute to the men and women who work every day for the safety of all, also demonstrating that all the municipal effort that we do in this matter they multiply and magnify it».
