Natalia García Fariña will cease to be Councilor for Citizen Participation, Tourism and ADL in the Arafo City Council Government when the next municipal plenary session is convened. The mayor of the PSOE presented her resignation to the act in the entry register of the City Council, explaining personal reasons, although in reality her departure is due to the differences in the municipal management with the socialist spokesman in the Consistory, José Francisco Pestano, as he recognized yesterday the same.

These differences about the management of the socialist group within the majority government that AiA-CC has will be explained by the resigned councilor in an assembly of the Arafera socialist group scheduled for this Friday or Monday. Yanet Álvarez, a well-known Citizen Participation activist through the prosocial association Mi Barrio El Carmen Se Mueve, number 4 on the PSOE electoral list, will replace Natalia García Fariña. Yanet Álvarez currently works at the Cabildo de Tenerife within the Ministry of Citizen Participation and Diversity led by the socialist from Güimaro Nautet Gugliotta. The mayor, Juan Ramón Martín, has not wanted to comment at the moment. The PSOE, with three councilors, entered the Government of Arafo, with a majority of AiA-CC (seven councilors) in January 2021.
