Specifically, these are the BUS-HOV lanes that are being planned both on the TF-1, between Güímar and Santa Cruz, and on the TF-5, between La Laguna and Santa Cruz, in those sections of these highways with high occupancy that have three or more lanes in each direction. Arriaga maintains that it will establish “the model of planning and management of mobility for the next 20 years and that it be done from a point of view of sustainability and focusing on the promotion and improvement of public transport.”

Enrique Arriaga has pointed out that the PIMSIT “will be key to being able to face and develop solutions to the serious mobility problem that has affected the island for decades”. In addition, he thanked the political groups for their support in “finding an agreement and thus getting Tenerife up and running”.

Less than a month ago, Arriaga himself presented another motion in which he advocated the macro-project of the train to the south of the island as a solution to the mobility problems in Tenerife. However, he had to withdraw it as he did not have the support of all the political groups in the plenary session, since Sí Podemos rejected it outright and the PSOE argued that it was not the time due to its high cost (more than 2,000 million euros ).
