Two deaths and 659 new cases of coronavirus are the data for today Monday in the Canary Islandsaccording to data from the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, which reflect a new decrease in the number of active patients: 574 fewer patients than yesterday, Sunday.
In total, from the beginning of the pandemic a total of 278,729 diagnoses of Covid-19, of which 15,767 remain active. From them, 53 are admitted to the ICU (two more than yesterday) and another 340 on the hospital floor.
for islands, Tenerife adds 194 diagnoses of the disease and it is also the Island that registers the two new deaths. With this figure, the Island has accumulated a total of 128,597 positives since the start of the pandemic and according to Health, 6,208 epidemiologically active patients are currently being treated, of whom 22 remain hospitalized in critical care units and 148 on the ward.
While, Gran Canaria is the island with the highest number of new infections in 24 hours, adding 376 cases. In this way, it has accumulated a total of 103,985 Covid-19 diagnoses in two years, of which 7,489 are currently active. The Island registers 181 admitted to the hospital ward and another 29 in ICU. In addition, according to the Ministry of Health, the number of deaths amounts to 560, after a statistical adjustment that subtracts one death from those reported yesterday, Sunday.
The downward trend is evident in the rest of the Archipelago. Lanzarote adds 33 new cases with 19,306 accumulated and 384 epidemiologically active, while Fuerteventura has 14,071 accumulated cases, with 44 new cases and 1,284 active. La Palma adds 11 new positives, so it has 9,366 accumulated and 314 active. El Hierro adds a new case, so it has 1,724 accumulated and its assets are 26 and La Gomera does not add any more new positives, so its accumulated is 1,679 and it has 62 active cases.
Asset Decline
As for the assets, the Canary Islands chained a new day of decline, a decrease that is registered in all the Islands. The most relevant falls occur in Tenerife and Gran Canaria (287 and 142 less respectively), although it is worth noting the 40 discharges registered in La Gomera.
