The Town Hall of Tenerife has proceeded this Sunday to cut the accesses to the Teide National Park through La Orotava (TF-21) and La Esperanza (TF-24) due to the presence of snow and ice sheets on the road.
As reported by the Island Corporation on its official Twitter account, the access road to Teide through La Orotava (TF-21) is closed from kilometer 16 to kilometer 43 (La Caldera).
For its part, the access road to the National Park through La Esperanza (TF-24) is closed to traffic from kilometer point 24 to 42, in this case due to ice sheets on the road.
Highway personnel from the Cabildo de Tenerife are already in the area, along with teams from the Red Cross, the National Park, the Civil Guard, the Security area of the Cabildo and members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium.
