Tenerife firefighters has approved the early retirement for your staff. The ordinary session of the Executive Committee of the Tenerife Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Consortium has determined, in its last meeting, the incentive plan so that the staff can access this job improvement. The measure has been taken with the objective of equating the conditions to those in force in the Cabildo, the parent entity of the Consortium.
In this new call, in addition, the granting of subsidies to the Los Realejos, Santiago del Teide and San Cristóbal de La Laguna Voluntary Firefighters parks for a total amount of 162,000 euros has been approved.
Regarding the detail of the mentioned incentive plan, use the modalities of early retirement of their own free will and partial retirement of civil servant and labor personnel, in addition to the consequent recognition of the right to receive an economic incentive for this reason.
Early retirement is justified to achieve different basic objectives, such as the rationalization of the workforce, its renewal and a certain containment of public spending, all with the ultimate purpose of improving efficiency in the performance of the public functions assigned to it. the Firefighters Consortium.
The meeting was carried out electronically and was attended by the insular director of Security of the Cabildo and president of the Consortium, Rubén Fernández; the manager, José Vargas; the vice-president and representative of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, Evelyn Alonso, and several delegates from the island’s consistories, along with the secretary and the delegated auditor.
Another issue addressed was the appointment as career civil servants, in the specific position of firefighter specialist driver, of the 26 applicants who passed the internal promotion procedure that was enabled in their day.
In another vein, it has entered its final stretch, with the final grades already issued by the Qualifying Court, andl process of the selective procedure for the coverage by career officials of ten firefighter positions driver specialist and setting up a reserve list. The pandemic has delayed this call and now a new problem has emerged.
Draw in the oppositions
The aforementioned final grades were published on July 14. The list included the 64 survivors of the different phases of the contest. However, there has been a double tie between four of the applicants (two equal on one side and two on the other) which also occurs in the score of the theoretical test. In order to establish the order for the configuration of the definitive reserve list, the Court has agreed to carry out a new theoretical knowledge test on these persons, as provided in the Ninth Base.
In principle, this tiebreaker test was going to take place during this month of August, although with the warning that it would be conditioned to the evolution of the health crisis situation derived from the pandemic. An announcement on the 13th indicates that it will not finally be convened this month and its celebration is suspended until further notice.
