Tenerife will celebrate for the first time the European Days of Crafts in its municipalities. The activities, which are proposed to be free, will be held from March 28 to April 3. This has been institutionally agreed by the Cabildo in response to a motion by the Canarian Coalition counselor Efraín Medina. He appreciates the support of all political groups to bring craft work closer to the public.
Medina values: “We intend to spread the enormous wealth of these trades of luthiers, jewelers, potters, lace makers, blacksmiths or weavers.” The proposal seeks the impulse of all the municipalities and institutions that join it. There are seven days around crafts in which artists who wish to show their creations and share their work procedures are invited to participate. The initiative is promoted by the public foundation School of Industrial Organization (EOI).
