SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 10 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, informed the companies of the Polígono de La Campana on Thursday of the increase of four million euros in the budget allocated to the works and that it will reach a total of 14,226,000 euros.
Martín insisted that “the Cabildo is making this investment to solve once and for all the problems of this industrial enclave, which has been abandoned for years,” and the forecast is to start work “this month or in March at the latest.”
In a meeting held this Thursday with the Gestur company, the business representation was informed of the steps being taken to speed up the work.
“Already at the end of this month the works will be awarded that will allow solving the most urgent problems that the polygon has right now, in terms of asphalting, signaling and access to industrial buildings, among other issues,” he commented in a note.
The Cabildo has commissioned the Gestur company to update the reform and adaptation project for the urbanization and facilities of Polígono La Campana, “a job that is already underway and that contemplates the demands of the companies, among them, that of replacing the concrete for asphalt, and we will start as soon as possible, at the end of this month if possible, so that this development, which has been completely abandoned, becomes a benchmark for industrial land in Tenerife,” said Martín.
In addition to these works, the president recalls that the Cabildo has already made important investments in the area, such as the works in the industrial wastewater treatment plant in the Polígono La Campana, already completed, and which involved a cost of 1.5 million euros for the insular corporation.
He also referred to other actions such as the channeling of the ravine, the electrical connection and the conditioning of the diversion that is next to the polygon.
