Temperatures will experience a drop this Friday in the Canary Islands

Temperatures will tend to drop somewhat in Canary Islands this Friday, when slightly cloudy skies are expected in general and wind rather loose, according to Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet).

The maximum will reach 25 degrees in Santa Cruz of Tenerife and the 24 in The Gran Canarian palms and the minimum will be 17 in both capitals, according to its forecast, which announces a predominantly weak northeast wind, although with possible local turns and increasing intensity in the afternoon in some latitudes.

Winds from the northeast will also prevail in the waters of the Canary Islands, where their strength will range between 1 and 3 and there will be rippled seas or swells but with areas of swell, as well as a 2 to 3-meter north or northwest swell.

The weather forecast for Friday, by islands, is as follows:

LANZAROTE

Intervals of medium and high clouds tending to slightly cloudy or clear. Temperatures in slight decrease, more pronounced in the night values. Loose east component wind turning northeast in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

FUERTEVENTURA

Intervals of medium and high clouds tending to slightly cloudy or clear. Temperatures in slight decrease in general, more pronounced on the western slope. Loose east component wind turning northeast in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Puerto del Rosario 17 24

GRAND CANARY

Predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies. Temperatures in slight decrease, more pronounced on slopes facing north and in the interior areas. Loose northeast wind, increasing in the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 17 24

TENERIFE

Prevalence of slightly cloudy skies tending to cloudy in low areas of the north at the end of the day. Falling temperatures. Generally loose northeast wind, more intense in the extreme northwest and on the southeast coast.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Santa Cruz de Tenerife 17 25

LA GOMERA

Prevalence of slightly cloudy skies tending to cloudy in low areas of the north at the end of the day. Falling temperatures. Generally loose northeast wind, more intense on northwest and east slopes.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

San Sebastian de La Gomera 17 24

THE PALM

Prevalence of slightly cloudy skies, tending to cloudy in low areas of the north. Falling temperatures. Northeast wind, more intense in the extreme northwest and southeast.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Holy Cross of La Palma 16 24

THE IRON

Prevalence of slightly cloudy skies tending to intervals of low clouds in the north at the end of the day. Temperatures in slight decrease in general. Northeast wind, more intense in the extreme northwest and on the southeast coast.
