The Canary Islands add 9 deaths with covid-19 and 1,240 new infections in the last 24 hours

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 9 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Canary Islands have registered 1,240 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated cases in the Islands since the start of the pandemic is already 267,247 with 105,190 active, of which 76 are admitted to the ICU and 541 remain hospitalized.

Likewise, in the last hours the death of nine people aged between 63 and 96 years has been reported. Of the total deaths, seven were reported in Tenerife and two in Gran Canaria. All had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 270.32 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 688.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 3,154,167 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the Islands, of which 6,643 correspond to yesterday

By islands, Tenerife adds 531 cases with a total of 123,976 accumulated cases and 49,017 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 99,272 accumulated cases, 488 more than the previous day, and 46,239 active cases; Lanzarote adds 112 new cases with 18,694 accumulated and 2,227 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 13,237 accumulated cases, with 39 new cases and 7,013 active ones.

La Palma adds 39 new positives, so it has 8,826 accumulated and 495 active; El Hierro adds 12 new positives, so its accumulated numbers are 1,650 and it has 88 active cases, and La Gomera adds 19 new cases, so it has 1,592 accumulated and its assets are 111.
