SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, February 5. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Roads Area of ​​the Cabildo de Tenerife will continue the rehabilitation of the surface of the Autopista del Sur (TF-1) in both directions between the Tajao (46), San Isidro (55) and Granadilla (57) junctions from this Sunday 6 February and until Friday 11.

The island councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, has insisted that these works “place the Island as a benchmark in the national territory in terms of sustainability, due to the innovative work technique and the volume of material that is reused.” In addition, he explained that 50% of the material is recycled, through the treatment of existing asphalt on the road.

Specifically, the work will continue from this Sunday with the rehabilitation of link 46, for which the acceleration and deceleration lanes in the south direction will be closed. On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the works are focused on the surface of junction 55, for which it will be necessary to close the deceleration lane and join the roundabout in the south direction.

On Wednesday, February 9, the improvement works will advance on the same junction, but in the Santa Cruz direction, and on Thursday the rehabilitation will be carried out on junction 57. To do this, the deceleration lane that gives access through Los Cardones in the Santa Cruz direction will be cut. Cruz, as well as those joining the roundabout.

These works are part of the TF-1 resurfacing plan that has been carried out since last April and that contemplates an execution period of about fourteen months. In total, the works, carried out by SACYR, will cover nearly 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico, and will be carried out at night, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., to reduce inconvenience to drivers. In addition, the Cabildo will enable several detours to maintain the flow of traffic.

THIS WEEK’S DEVIATIONS

From this Sunday until Monday night, vehicles heading south and wanting to access the Environmental Complex or Tajao must continue to Junction 49 (Chimiche/El Rio/Las Maretas), make a U-turn and return to Santa Cruz until Junction 46. As soon as drivers who want to make the maneuver in the opposite direction, they must leave towards Santa Cruz until Junction 42 (Villa de Arico/Abades), and change direction to join the road.

During the early hours of Monday and until Wednesday, February 9, vehicles going in the direction of Adeje and wanting to access San Isidro/El Médano must continue to junction 59 (South Airport), make a U-turn and return to junction 57. (San Isidro/Granadilla/El Medano). Those who leave from San Isidro/Granadilla to join the highway, in both directions, must do so through junction 57. In the same way, drivers who want to go from El Médano to the south will have to exit towards Santa Cruz until junction 52 (Polígono de Granadilla Acceso B) and make a change of direction to join the road.
On the other hand, in the case of vehicles going towards Santa Cruz and wishing to access San Isidro/Granadilla, they must do so via link 57.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, February 10, those who want to go to Santa Cruz from San Isidro/Granadilla must go south to Junction 59 and make a U-turn. And the vehicles that intend to go south from El Médano must leave towards Santa Cruz until junction 52 and also make a U-turn to join the road.
Cars heading north and wishing to access San Isidro/Granadilla will have to take junction 57, and vehicles heading in the same direction wishing to access El Médano must continue to junction 52, make a U-turn and merge southbound. to junction 62 (San Miguel/Los Abrigos).

Lastly, on Thursday night, people who wish to join the Highway from Los Cardones, in both directions, must do so through the junction 55 roundabout. While vehicles heading towards Santa Cruz and wishing to access Los Cardones, they must do it by the roundabout of the same link.
