No one wanted to miss this Saturday one of the most long-awaited events in Tenerife of the time: the snow on Teide. A first light layer finally gave way to a snowfall in conditions that, for safety reasons, were inaccessible to the people of Tenerife during the previous days due to the presence of ice on the road.

The announcement yesterday afternoon of the opening of the highways of La Esperanza and Arafo to go to the highest national park in the country gave way to the illusion of a possible weekend scheduled for many islanders.

And it is that, despite the fact that the Cabildo de la Isla begged drivers to take extreme precautions at the wheel, nature lovers did not have to be asked and early this Saturday they were already in the vicinity shooting their targets without ceasing.

Below, we share some of the most spectacular snapshots of Teide National Park dressed in white:

This morning it was worth getting up early and being cold. Impressive sunrise with Teide and the telescopes of the Izaña Observatory dyed white.#Tenerife #Canary Islands #photographylovers #landscapephotography pic.twitter.com/Y48yDEcdop
