In a statement, the Civil Guard points out that this massive influx of visitors “often involves risky situations, both due to the presence of snow, and the agglomeration” of people and vehicles, which forces the establishment of “certain limitations and rules” to regulate access.
It recommends following the indications marked for circulation and paying attention to the signs, as well as the weather conditions, especially in case of snowfall or appearance of ice sheets on the road.
It also advises checking the condition of the vehicle beforehand, especially the tires, lights and windshield wipers; wear reflective vests to walk on the road and carry charged phones, as low temperatures also contribute to the faster use of the battery.
