The most outstanding duel of this twentieth day of the Canarian group of the Third RFEF was pointed out byl Tenerife B. Leandro Cabrera ‘Mazinho’ team knocked out a direct rival for direct promotion like the Arucas and snatches the lead thanks to a solitary goal from Antón, in the decisive stretch of the first half. With this result, the blue and white subsidiary chained its third consecutive victory and joins the dream of making the leap to the fourth category of Spanish football.

During the first 45 minutes it was possible to see a more dominating Tenerife B, who imposed his game, performing good ball combinations with which he tried to bring danger to the domains of the Aruquense goalkeeper Fermín. For its part, the side of Juan Germán Jiménez, well planted in their plot of the Geneto-Los Baldíos field, opted for long balls and set pieces to put Medina at risk.

The first warning was for the Blue and Whites, with a header from Ethyan, after a corner from Teto, which skimmed the post. Shortly after, the aforementioned Ethyan tried again with a shot, from outside the area, which also went very close to the crossbar.

When the quarter of an hour had not been reached, Arucas replied, with a play in which Nauzet Alemán, after an error by the Blue and Whites, took a ball to stay alone against Medina, but the shot by the veteran Gran Canarian footballer was found the saving stop of the local goalkeeper Medina. Immediately afterwards, Tenerife player Teto ended a personal action with a shot, which was about to become the first goal of the contest.

Tenerife B ruled the game, but until the 39th minute they could not put an end to the defensive consistency of the team from Aruquenses. After a corner taken by Teto, his teammate Antón appeared at the far post to connect a shot with his foot, which lodged at the bottom of Fermín’s goal.

The direct game of Arucas

The match came to rest with the minimum income favorable to the Blue and White subsidiary, and after passing through the changing rooms, the script of the match did not change. Arucas waited for their opportunity, betting on a direct game, and intensifying their efforts during the determining stretch of this second half with the purpose of restoring the equalizer.

In the 54th minute, Tenerife B came close to making it 2-0 with a shot from Omar, coming off a corner kick by Teto, which went over the crossbar. Halfway through this second period, Juan Germán Jiménez’s men responded with a direct free kick from Futre, which went high.

The ‘Mazinho’ team controlled the timing of the game, and controlled Arucas, who was conditioned in the 80th minute by ex-yellow player David García being sent off. Until the final whistle, Juan Germán Jiménez’s pupils tried to score the equalizer, but they found themselves up against a solvent Blue and White reserve team, who did not let their ninth victory of the season escape.
