
Isora’s agenda after FITUR contemplates new projects in the short term and opens up opportunities to focus the municipal tourism strategy.
Guía de Isora attended the meeting with the professional sector with the guarantee of a job well done under his arm, with recent distinctions such as the Biosphere Destination seal and with growth forecast data through proposals for sustainability and modernization in which it is coming working for years.
“Fitur is always an interesting experience to promote Guía de Isora, in addition to the destination of Tenerife and the Canary Islands. The fair allows you to share projects that are carried out worldwide and that can help to develop in the municipality”, affirms the mayor, Josefa Mesa, who has also valued the “key contacts maintained with other institutions, with companies and investors interested in the municipality”.
As a tourist attraction after the pandemic, the southern municipality is committed to recovering the activity “Outdoors, from coast to summit”, in an enclave where it is possible to practice countless sports practically 365 days a year and where in 2022 they will be held again top-level sporting events such as the international surfing championship or the Mountain Race.
“We were very pleased to be able to resume the fair after the 2021 break. The organization has been excellent, with strict compliance with sanitary measures”, explained the Councilor for Tourism Development, Lorena Medina, who also hinted at the incorporation of new projects to medium term, as a national photographic contest.
The luxury hotel tourism offer and the combination of nature, well-being and gastronomy have once again been key points in the consolidation of the Guia de Isora tourism strategy. The southern municipality also presented its new tourism website to professionals in the sector www.visitguiadeisora.es
In the last edition of Fitur, held in 2020, there was also a commitment to the tourist side that has such consolidated cultural events as the MiradasDoc International Festival and Documentary Film Market, which will be held this year from March 4 to 12 or Easter , which hopes to be able to develop according to the epidemiological evolution during the next Holy Week, on April 14, 15 and 16, 2022.
