Within the framework of an investment of 500,000 euros, the City Council of San Miguel de Abona proceeds to replace the latest generation artificial turf of the Jairo Martín Arzola football field, in Guargacho. A work with which the existing artificial grass has been removed to place another of the latest generation. In addition, it will renew the sports pavement and the irrigation system, it will improve its drainage system, it will mark a soccer field and two transversal soccer 7 fields and they will install new goals and benches.
Both the mayor, Arturo González, and the Councilor for General Services and Sports, Julián Martín, allude to the importance of this action because this football field “congregates a large number of people every day to train and for sports competitions, which has caused a rapid degradation of the lawn”, which justifies this intervention.
