SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police has arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly harassing a 30-year-old neighbor in the Chamberí neighborhood of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for several years.
In a statement, the Superior Police Headquarters of the Canary Islands explained that the investigation took place after the complaint of the affected in which she explained that a neighbor was following her, waiting for her on public roads and observing her for hours, complimenting her continuously despite ask him on numerous occasions to stop his attitude.
In this sense, the man had even reached the point of seeking physical contact, trying to grab her arm against her will.
For her part, the situation would have begun years ago when the harassed woman began to care for a relative of the man.
Due to what she experienced on a daily basis, the woman felt restless, nervous, anxious, said she felt depressed at times and, in order not to bump into her neighbor, she had changed her daily routine.
Finally, the policemen, after the arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the acts, reported the investigation carried out to the competent judicial authority.
