Los Realejos City Council is carrying out improvement works on the rainwater collection network on Calle Los Afligidos and Ladera de La Zamora, through the public company Realserv. The creation of four new large scuppers to collect water responds to local demands and will prevent runoff and flooding problems.
The royal councilors of Municipal Services, Domingo García (PP), and of Projects and Works, José Andrés Pérez (PP), visited Los Afligidos street and the Ladera de La Zamora farmhouse on the morning of this Wednesday, January 19, together with neighbors around La Zamora, to check the progress of the improvement works on the rainwater collection network, which will force the road to be partially closed to traffic this morning.
Pérez details that the objective of this project is “the creation of four new scuppers that facilitate the capture of rainwater at different points, three of them in Los Afligidos street itself and another in Ladera de La Zamora, connected to the underground drainage network. corresponding, in order to mitigate the effects of excessive accumulation of water and flooding and leaks to adjoining properties that are generated on days of heavy rain.
